- - The flags move to Marlboro UMC
On August 6, the flags were pulled up, cleaned, counted,
and bundled to be moved to the
First United Methodist Church in Marlboro.

On June 18, 2007, we received 3,872 flags with love and care from the Unitarian Universalist Society in Westborough; for six weeks we cared for the flags, we grieved and held in our prayers the 132 casualties during that time; and on August 6th we passed 4,004 flags on to the First United Methodist Church in Marlboro.
During its time here the Field of Flags had more impact than we could ever have imagined, it evoked deep emotions from the thousands and thousands of people in Oxford who saw the display every day (some of whom stopped and signed our guest book and others who drove by and saluted or sounded their car horns or just walked quietly among the rows of flags); people from other cities and towns in Massachusetts; and visitors from other states.
